Jamaican women get so busy at times that we forget to take care of ourselves. No matter how hectic your schedule is, you should not forget that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Try to eat something, even if you may not be hungry. Eating breakfast has been linked to helping women to reduce their weight and also increase their metabolic activity. Eating breakfast has also been linked to reduced cramps and painful periods. So for those super busy women, grab a banana or yogurt or an orange on your way to work.
Getting regular check-ups is definitely recommended. It is especailly important for females who are in the prime of their reproductive years. Women's Health recommends that visits should be made to see your OB/GYN or healthcare facitlity at least once per year for pap smears, STD checks, pelvic examinations and to ensure that your reproduction organs such as the ovary is healthy.
